The six-step KTP wizard
Registering your Xn-Talk-ID is a one-time six-step wizard. The final step is "KTP" — Key to Proceed — a verification gate that confirms the contact details you entered are reachable. Once registered, this ID is permanent for the installation.
Have your business name, GSTIN (if applicable), and an active mobile / email ready before starting.
Step 1 - Business Name & Contact Person
Enter the legal name of your business and the primary contact person. The name you enter here becomes your Lic Name, which appears in every support call — spell it the way you want it to appear on official documents.
- Business Name — e.g. Acme Pharmacy Pvt Ltd.
- Contact Person — full name of the person we should reach if there is a licensing issue.
Step 2 - Business Type
Pick what best describes you. This influences which sample data and default reports we ship with your installation.
- Retail / POS
- Pharmacy / Chemist
- Hospital / Clinic
- Manufacturer
- Plantation / Agri
- Services / Other
Step 3 - Business Category
A finer-grained classification within the type you picked — for example Standalone Pharmacy vs Multi-branch Pharmacy, or Multispecialty Hospital vs OPD-only Clinic. This drives the default tax structure and the default chart of accounts.
Step 4 - Address (Country / State / City)
Enter the full address. State is the most important field here — it decides whether intrastate (CGST + SGST) or interstate (IGST) defaults apply on invoices raised from this installation.
- Country — defaults to India; change if applicable.
- State — pick from the dropdown. Do not free-text.
- City — free-text but watch for typos; this prints on every invoice.
- PIN code — six digits for India.
Step 5 - Contact & Captcha (Tel / Email / Mobile)
Provide at least one mobile and one email — both will be verified in the next step. Solve the captcha image at the bottom of the dialog.
- Tel — landline including STD code (optional).
- Mobile — 10-digit Indian mobile (mandatory; receives an OTP in step 6).
- Email — valid email address (mandatory; receives a confirmation link in step 6).
- Captcha — type the characters shown in the image. Click the image to refresh if unreadable.
Step 6 - KTP (Key to Proceed) Verification
You receive a numeric code by SMS on the mobile from step 5. Enter it on the screen and click Verify. On success, the screen shows your new Xn-Talk-ID and the wizard closes.
If the SMS does not arrive within 2 minutes, click Resend. If it still fails, check that the mobile is correct, has signal, and is not blocking promotional / OTP SMS.
