First Login & Registration

Datacenter selection, Xn-Talk-ID registration, and first sign-in.

From "installed" to "logged in"

Once ZN ERP is installed, the first time you launch it you go through three small dialogs in order: (1) pick the datacenter, (2) register an Xn-Talk-ID for your installation through the six-step KTP wizard, and (3) log in as a user. After that, every future launch drops you straight at the login screen.

Prepare before you start

The KTP (Key to Proceed) wizard cannot be paused half-way through — have the following ready so you do not lose a partly-typed registration:

  • Business name as you want it printed on invoices and on the licence certificate.
  • Contact person — full name of whoever should receive licensing emails.
  • Address with the correct State (drives intrastate vs interstate GST defaults).
  • An active mobile that can receive SMS OTPs from operators in India.
  • A working email that is monitored daily.
  • Your GSTIN if applicable (optional during registration but useful later).
  • The temporary admin password for first login — provided by your installer / account manager.

Why an Xn-Talk-ID?

The Xn-Talk-ID is a unique identifier for your business installation, distinct from any individual user login. It does three jobs:

  • Licence binding — links this installation to your licence so version updates and renewals reach the right database.
  • Support routing — when you raise a ticket, support engineers reach you on Xn-Talk using this ID instead of a phone number.
  • Broadcast channel — ZN can push announcements (regulatory updates, downtime notices) directly to your installation.

The Xn-Talk-ID is created once and lives for the life of the installation. Even if you never use the chat feature, registering an Xn-Talk-ID is mandatory.

Tip — Save a screenshot of the final KTP screen showing your new Xn-Talk-ID. You will be asked for it any time you call support, and it is the fastest way to identify your installation.
